2017 has been a year of strong performance under adverse economic conditions with substantial growth into new sectors and consolidation of competencies in the group.
We have begun the process of rebranding the entire group under a new holding company "H&M Technologies”. The purpose of this is to give clarity to each of our operating units as sub-brands, delivering further focus for each performance area. We are preparing to lead South Africa into a new era of innovation in the polyurethane market, delivering on our new positioning statement: “Global Innovation. Local Solutions.”

This year we put our new positioning to practice by producing South Africa’s first ever home-grown polyurethane press roll cover. Channeling the extensive scientific advancements of our main shareholder, Hannecard Paper, we were able to offer a revolutionary innovation at greatly reduced local costs. We also welcomed Parm Garay into our fold as a newly developed business unit called H&M Garay Linings. We are excited to see their considerable experience and capabilities at work. As H&M Technologies continues to expand into new fields and deliver new technology from our international partners, our sub-brands have more capabilities than ever before.
